I don't need to bring a separate cord/brick for it on the go. It works great for SMD soldering with the chisel tip and the conical tip in my experience. I have no need for the extra wattage of the ts100, the ts80p can easily solder anything in my possession, and heats up in like 8 seconds vs like the 6 of the ts100.

Extract the HEX file (TS80.V1.07.hex) from the firmware ZIP file and copy it to the ROOT folder of the C0D19C16 USB drive. The TS80 will automatically detect the HEX file and install it. Do not disconnect the soldering iron from the USB connection to the PC until the HEX file has changed it's name to an RDY file (TS80.V1.07.rdy).
